It looks charming, and quite liveable-in. I think we would be willing to give it a go in October. You have certainly got your work cut out, looking after two plots of land and maintaining two homes. Presumably you will be having to keep the new home warm so that it does not get damp. I wonder how far it is from your own home.
Hi Mum, yes, it will be a lot of work, but hopefully our volunteers will be able to put some time in as well. Most of the land on the second house will be planted up for food crops for livestock, so not needing much maintenance.
The house is a five minute walk from our house, and an easy road to follow. I’m going there every couple of days to light a fire and drive out the damp, but it’s a very dry house, and the roof has been well-maintained to there’s not any evidence of damp. It should be very cosy!
