Unexpected visitors

Posted on 17 August 201427 August 2014

We have always said we don’t want any animals until next year, so imagine our surprise when we ended up playing host to a volunteer, two goats, two horses and a dog!

A friend we had met earlier in Bulgaria needed help with temporarily housing some animals she was looking after. It’s a long and complicated story, and isn’t ours to tell, so it’s enough to say that we offered to help out.

Clara was a fantastic help with our projects; worked really hard, and prepared to try anything, from chopping wood, demolishing walls, digging soil, and helping remove concrete posts, as well as teaching us how to make ice-cream.
