I feel for you guys losing a lot of your veggies and fruit amidst the drought. I suppose you are hearing that in Cumbria, after a glorious Spring/early summer, we are now enduring very cool temperatures, buckets of rain and very strong winds, so my veg etc suffering in a different way. Do you have any old carpets etc you can cut up and put round the veg? I helps keep the moisture in, any sort of mulching helps too, wood chip etc? I’m sure you know all this, but it is a worrying situation for you. Hang in there guys!
We mulch with straw, we get 40 bales each year from the village corporation and this is used for our poultry but mainly for mulching. Hope you get some fine weather soon.
